Course Reserves: Faculty
To place materials on course reserve, complete one of the course reserves forms (Book, Chapter/Article or Media) and drop your materials off at the Circulation Desk at least one week before the material will be needed by students. PC owned or personal copies ONLY; HELIN books, rented media etc. may not be put on reserve.
In the case of digital chapters/articles, we cannot place items on reserve for which the library does not own the online version, due to copyright restrictions. If the library subscribes to the online version of the journal article requested, we will provide a persistent link to the article and add it to your course in the course reserve system. If the library does not own the article, we recommend that you use Sakai to make the item available for your students. You can contact firstname.lastname@example.org if you need assistance.
In addition to the material reserved by the professors for their students, high use items are placed on permanent reserve for the Providence College community.
Please see this page for the library’s policy on copyright compliance.
