Food and Drink in the Library 

Snacking is permitted in Phillips Memorial Library. Vending machines are located in the Ruane connector and the lower level of the library. 

Food should be limited to snacks and all beverages must have a lid. Hot foods or food associated with meals (such as sandwiches, pizza, etc.), soda cans, and open cups are not permitted in the library. 

Please be considerate of the people around you and the people who will use your workstation after you. If you wish to have a snack or beverage in the library, it is your responsibility to pick up and dispose of your trash properly.

All promotional signage must align with the Phillips Memorial Library’s mission to support teaching, learning and research at Providence College and/or the success and wellbeing of our students. Signage for events must be approved by Student Activities and Cultural Programming.

Due to limited space, digital signage is preferred. Contact pmlmarketing@providence.edu for digital signage.

The Library reserves the right to remove signage as necessary.
