Brief Biography:

I serve as Electronic Resources & Serials Librarian / Professor at the Phillips Memorial Library at Providence College in Providence, Rhode Island.

I fulfill all requirements of my faculty rank including teaching/performance of professional responsibilities, scholarship, and service.

My main PROFESSIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES are to:

*Coordinate the management of the life cycle of the library’s electronic resources and online serials.
*Oversee the acquisition, organization, maintenance and evaluation of the print serials collection.
*Work collaboratively with my Collections Services colleagues on collections issues and participate in departmental initiatives, projects, and meetings.
*Provide assistance to the library’s users by serving at the ResearcHub, by participating in initiatives, trainings, activities, etc., and by teaching library instruction (research education) classes.
*Support the Library+Commons by participating in initiatives, trainings, activities, etc.

I engage in ongoing, active SCHOLARSHIP in my primary and related disciplines, e.g. electronic resources, serials, adoption, and other related areas.

I provide SERVICE to the library, college, discipline, and community as appropriate.

Awards and Honors:

2022 HELIN (Higher Education Library Information Network) Award in Honor of Dr. D. Russell Bailey, director of the Phillips Memorial Library at Providence College at the time of his death in 2020. The 2022 award honored a project that “best demonstrates effective use of data for the improvement of library collections, operations or services.” HELIN (Higher Education Library Information Network)
