Staff Spotlight: Dan

What is your day to day like?

As the Head of Technology and Access, I collaborate with staff to ensure the smooth delivery of our department’s services, including book and technology lending, interlibrary loan, and course reserves. We prioritize creating a welcoming environment and providing excellent customer service while staying informed about new and exciting developments in the library field.

What is your favorite library activity?

The seasonal crafts and puzzle table offer a perfect opportunity to take a break and give your mind a rest, especially during midterms and finals!

What is your favorite part of working at the library?

I’ve always loved libraries and books—what librarian doesn’t? The best part of my job is connecting with the PC community. It’s a joy to work alongside and support our students, faculty, and staff.

What is your favorite study space?

It depends on what you’re working on! For focused work, I recommend the Quiet Zones on the 2nd floor. If you prefer spaces with more activity, the 1st floor is perfect.

What is something most students don’t know about the library?

It’s more than just your favorite place to study – it’s a space where everyone is here to help. We have so many resources to offer and are ready to answer all kinds of questions. That’s what we’re here for, so don’t be shy!
