Staff Spotlight: Sarah

What is your day to day like?

I supervise three departments and I manage the library’s financial processes and building operations. My professional interests are in library leadership and how that translates to staff success and wellbeing. Much of my work is related to the management and professional development of library staff.

What is your favorite library activity?

All of it!

What is your favorite part of working at the library?

The people! We have the best staff. Everyday I feel grateful to work with such a caring and dedicated group of individuals who all bring something unique and special to our library.

What do you do for fun?

I love reading and writing fiction and traveling to cold remote islands & nordic countries with my husband and two kids.

Who is your favorite writer?

Shakespeare, Austen, and Keats were some of my dearest friends growing up. But I’m also an avid contemporary romance reader. If you ever need a good recommendation for something fun, I’m your librarian.

I have a one year old Bernese Mountain Dog named Oona.
